I am mostly looking to get rid of vintage audio equipment. I would think the market is small so it's best to have a 30-day listing to find an interested buyer.. In seven days how can one be sure a buyer will notice your listing? Plus seven day auction has other cons:
1) Many people won't bother bidding on an item that already has a bid. Why waste time when someone else will likely win it
2) Who has patience to wait 7 days to find out you won/lost. During those 7 days you can't bid on other items because you may win both auctions.
3) Sniping is also very annoying. Many mass collectors use automated tools for sniping. That is a turn off for average joes looking for a good deal.
I would think the end result of all this is that 7-day auction shrinks your market and lowers your selling price.. But most audio gear I see sells in the 7-day auction. Your thoughts on why?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
